Hello From our Family

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! Our names are Jody and Maks and we have been married for seven years. We met online and quickly realized there was something special between us. While we share many things in common, our passion for travel is one of our favorites. Even once we became parents our annual tradition of traveling abroad continued, and you’ll see many photos of trips in this profile. We can promise that any child that joins our family will become a global traveler, too.

Our decision to complete our family through adoption began on our second date (yes, date #2!). Jody grew up in a blended family with many adopted cousins. At 5 years old, she decided that her motherhood journey would include adoption. On date #2, after sharing how they felt for each other, Jody told Maks that she was going to adopt and if he wasn’t okay with doing so, they should probably break up. Maks, who was raised by a non-biological father, gave her the quickest thumbs up ever. And the rest is history!
